Pros: Quality ingredients, this stuff really moisturizes
Cons: Pricey. Absorbs slowly enough that you might feel greasy for a few minutes.
The Bottom Line: Elasto Seamollient Hand Cream is great if you have trouble with really dry hands. It helps protect your skin from frequent hand washing, as well.

| colz85's Full Review: Mario Badescu Elasto Seamollient Hand Cream |
A couple of years ago, I fell in love with Mario Badescu products. If you go to their web site, www.mariobadescu.com , you can do an online consultation, and soon you will get a package full of adorable teeny tiny products they recommend for you. I was pleased with the initial products they sent me, so I started ordering more. Yes. I fell right into their trap!
About the company
Probably best known for its "magic" pink pimple cream, Mario Badescu has a salon in Manhattan, and boasts of celebrity clients like Liv Tyler and Jennifer Aniston.
From the web site:
The Mario Badescu name has been known for personalized, all-natural skin care treatments and products for more than 35 years. Growing from a small facility into a 36 room salon and day spa, we have always been one of the most trusted and respected names in the industry. Our clientele not only is made up of many actors, supermodels and showpeople, but thousands of men and women who realize the importance of good skin care.
Products are available at the Manhattan salon, online, and at stores including Henri Bendel and Nordstrom.
OK, OK, what about the hand cream??
I'm a frequent hand washer, and in the winter, that can wreak havoc with your hands, making them dry and red and cracked. I was having these issues when I decided to give the Elasto-Seamollient Hand Cream a try, and ordered from the web site. There are two sizes: a 4 oz jar for $8, and an 8 oz jar for $14. Yeah, pricey, but a little goes a long way, and it lasts a LONG time.
So what does Mario B say about this stuff?
From the web site:
A unique formulation of protective Seamollient and nourishing Vitamin E makes this thick, rich hand cream perfect for frequently washed hands. Also includes Peanut Oil to hydrate and moisturize dry hands.
Ingredients: Seamollient, Deionized Water, Sclerotium Gum, Peanut Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Tocopherol, Triethanolamine, Cetyl Alcohol, Squalene, Carbomer, Panthenol, Methylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Propylparaben, Sodium Benzoate, Herbal Extract.
The stuff works great, bottom line. It feels almost whipped, like a face cream. It has a light, pleasant smell. And oh boy does it moisturize. It works great on heels and knees and elbows, in addition to hands. The only caveat...really...use a LITTLE BIT. No. Less than that, even. It DOES leave a bit of a greasy feel if you use too much, and you may find yourself leaving greasy paw prints on your keyboard, your desk, etc. It works just great as a night cream for your hands...slather it on and hit the sack.
My Bottom Line:
I've never had anything but a good experience ordering from the Mario Badescu web site, and I love this hand cream. It may seem pricey, but it lasts a LONG time.
