As I continue on my adventure in the land of Martha Stewart Everyday Collection, I have found another piece(s) that I have really fallen in love with. Now the down side to Martha Stewart Everyday Collection is the woman behind the concept to a certain degree as well as the venture to my local Super Kmart. I am sure that Martha Stewart herself has lost a lot of her clientele due to her outside life ventures unfortunately.
I live on a restricted budget as my fiancé and I are finding our place in the world and many of her items are extremely affordable to the average buyer. Not only are they at a great price but they are well crafted as well and there seems to be warranties on almost everything that I have bought so far.
My latest purchase has been the Martha Stewart Everyday Collection set of bowls with lids which are sold separately and come in the following sizes for the following prices:
1 Cup = $1.99
2 Cup = $2.49
4 Cup = $3.49
7 Cup = $3.99
I purchased all of them as I was in desperate need for some bowls in my home. These are glass bowls made of Pyrex glass that come with a mint green sturdy and plastic lid. So far I have found use for every size that I have purchased.
The glass is extremely thick, about a half a centimeter and I am not even sure would break very easily at all. Here is the best part of the Pyrex glass though. The Pyrex glass can be put in a microwave, a dishwasher, an oven, a refrigerator and a freezer all with ease. The only factor you have to remember is not to take something from the oven and instantaneously place in the freezer as the glass will mostly break due to extreme temperatures. The warranty on the Pyrex glass should it break in the oven and it should break, there is a two year warranty on the item.
As far as the lid itself, if it is found to be defective in any way, it has a one year warranty on it as well. On the front of the lid is a log of Martha Stewart Everyday Collection which is not tacky at all along with the measurement of that particular bowl. On the other side of the lid, you are reminded that you can put it in the microwave, refrigerator, freezer, but not in the oven. You can put it in the top rack of the dishwasher as well in stead of hand washing it.
The lid is so sturdy on top of the glass bowls that I find from the suction it can be difficult to get off. So if you have liquid inside the bowl, I recommend placing the bowl on the counter and lifting off the lid without shaking it around. On the flip side, the liquid will not drain out should you put it sideways in your refrigerator because the seal is strong.
The collection of the four bowls are sold separately which I think is handy so that you dont have to buy all four if you should only need one or two. The Martha Stewart Everyday Collection often does that with many of their items to keep open the flexibility for the consumer which I think is thoughtful.

I really love the Martha Stewart Everyday Collection bowls with lids. I have found them useful around the kitchen as I have only had them for about a week. When I went over to my mothers house the other day to bring a salad for dinner, I was able to put it in the 7 cup bowl with lid and not worry about the saran wrap in the car on the way over. It was taken care of. When I made pancakes the other day for my fiancé and I had made too much batter I was able to put two cups away in the refrigerator rather than wasting them. It was very convenient and I loved it.
Everyone wants a nice kitchen with nice utensils, dishes, and other items. The Martha Stewart Everyday Collection enables people like me on a lower budget to do just that but let it look like I spent a decent amount on them. I dont feel that any of the items I have bought for the kitchen are cheap looking or feel cheap when touching. In fact, my mother complimented me on the bowl when I brought it to her house and was surprised it was just under four dollars.
I am proud of my Martha Stewart Everyday Collection Bowls with Mint Green Lids and I highly recommend them to other consumers out there that are looking for similar products at a great price. The Martha Stewart Everyday Collection has yet to steer me wrong.
Until next time,
K Parsons
