Pros: Looks great when new, very functional for a short while.
Cons: Not made to last. Poor quality construction. Umbrellas broke prematurely. Chair fabric ripped prematurely.
The Bottom Line: I would not make a purchase of this same patio furniture. Disappointingly short lifetime for the type of furniture that should give at least 5 to 10 years use.

| varuscelli's Full Review: Martha Stewart Everyday Montecito Collection |
We received the Martha Stewart Montecito collection (hexagonal dining table, six chairs, and an umbrella) as a spring gift (for our new house) in 2001. Although I first loved the look and comfort of the furniture, it is sadly not built to last. Within the first year, the original umbrella hardware broke off at the mid-section swivel point. Thus, the umbrella would not stay in the upright position. We obtained a second umbrella, and it broke in the same spot a little over a year after we got it. It's since been held together with tape and a wood clamp, enough so that it was serviceable for about another year. The table has held up well. The chairs, however are another story. The first of six ripped at about the year and a half mark. Since that time, the fabric on all the chairs has ripped at the seat (except for one,and I don't give it much longer). This furniture, though costly, has barely made it to the three-year mark of ownership and all that's really left is the table. I'd like to think that we could possible reupholster the chairs, but in looking at the construction I don't know if it's possible. This furniture had light use in a moderate southern climate, but apparently was not made to stand up to even average year-round weather. I suspect the fabric of the chairs just dry rotted over a relatively short time and when any weight was put on them, the ripped. Sad that such patio furniture can't be made to last (or sad that the quality on these was so poor).
