Pros: Nice design, chairs are holding up well (knock wood).
Cons: One of a kind shaped glass explodes.
The Bottom Line: We're concerned with the 'exploding glass' scenario. While it was tempered, it is frightening to think that we could have been an eye witness to the event!! YIKES!!

I thought we had an unusual experience when I looked outside today and saw the lovely table frame and a mountain of candlescaping glass particles. First thought, 16 year old son! What did you do? He claims innocence, so I go to the internet to try to find KMart replacement glass and/or another table. Lo and behold, this has happened to other nice people and sooner than ours!! We did have the set for a few years and were thinking of ditching it before our military move next summer. Little did we think that the table was thinking of ditching us! Wah!!! Not even after summer was over!!!
We didn't pamper the set and the chairs are still holding up. We did get extra chairs when we bought the set because of defects. I didn't realize that the original manufacturer was no longer. The solders on the joints are pretty impressive, never saw so much melty stuff used!! The material on the chairs appears to be thinning out a bit but no fraying or damage yet.
I guess we're thrilled that we weren't enjoying dinner when the thing decided to blow and blind us all. Me thinks we'll be buying metal top in the future, no more glass for us. In the meantime we're watching Craigslist for a table to go with our chairs.
