Pros: Great Price Very reliable and well built
Cons: It's tall so it won't fit in most safes
I have been shooting bows ever since I was a young boy. I have shot many different kinds of archery set ups, but when i was young I could not keep the traditional bows back, because they have no let off.
I have always shot instinctively because I have a eye dominance problem and I never used sights, so I thought I would try a Recurve now that I am grown and the let off does not affect me.
After looking for a few months I found this wonderfully priced Martin X-150 with a 50 lb. draw wieght. The dark limbs and beautiful wood attracted me as well as the reputable Martin brand name.
When I finally got it i was first impressed by how light is was and how well it fit my hand. The next thing I noticed is how quiet it was compared to the compound bows. It needed no pin sights and was perfect for me.
When I took this wonderful bow out on it's first mule deer hunt all my friends were jealous, because of how light and easy it was to carry through the woods. I missed a shot on a buck at 15 yards not in a tree stand mind you and the bow was so quiet he did not even know I was there and took my second shot 8 yds after he walked right up to me.
The 50 lb. draw weight did the job and the arrow went right threw the animal making a good kill.
Now I have had the bow for a little over a year and love how the black limbs absorb the sun light, so to not give away my position. I have hunted small and big game with this extremely accurate bow and it has never let me down once. I would not sell it ever
Compared to other recurves I have shot this one has the smoothest feel and shoots better then them all.
