HOW TO GET RIPPED OFF...TIMES THREE!

Being the "Baba" that I am...I usually always try to buy educational toys for the grand-angles.

This past Christmas...I bought 3 of these "Marvin's Magic Drawing Board". And...now I am here to tell everyone not to waste their money!!

These magic boards are around 14"X14". They are made with a heavy cardboard frame that has a thin coat of plastic over it. There is also a plastic sheet over the drawing board area. Under this sheet of plastic...is some sort of black goop! The board also comes with a flimsy plastic 'spatula' (of sorts). This is supposed to be used to re-spread the black goop once you have drawn a magic picture.

The one really good thing about this "magic board" is that you can draw on it using only your fingers...But don't even think about getting close to it with ANYTHING that might even be "sorta" sharp! This means even the side of that handy plastic spatula!

When seen on TV..."Marvin's Magic Drawing Board" looks really easy to use...even for a small child. WELL...IT ISN'T !

CHAD...who is three, loved it at first...maybe 2 minutes. Seeing all those pretty colors pop through that black goop really thrilled him. Then it came time to re-spread the goop. That only frustrated him...and me...when he brought it to me crying. That goop is really hard to spread out and cover the colors so that a new magic picture can be drawn!

TAYLOR...who is five...drew a darling magic picture of a kitten with some flowers. then she used the plastic spatula to smooth out the goop...AND THEN SHE WAS WEARING THE GOOP!! Whatever that GOOP is...it was all over her, the carpet, and the wall! Thank Goodness her parents are in the middle of re-decorating! The goop DOESN"T COME OUT OF CARPET!

CODY...who is seven...Thought it was the dumbest thing. And...informed everyone that "It isn't MAGIC...it's only colors under black yucky stuff that you move around" !!

Between all three of the children...Marvin's Magic Drawing Board held their interest for MAYBE ten minutes! AND TO THINK...THOSE 10 MINUTES OF INTEREST ONLY COST THIS BABA $68.00 !!

BOTTOM LINE CONCERNING MARVIN'S MAGIC BOARDS;

BOARD #1...Got GOOP all over when the plastic covering the GOOP tore!

BOARD #2...Got tossed when the "sturdy plastic frame" got tweaked & twisted.( Scared it too might leak GOOP!)

BOARD #3...this one MAY still be around somewhere...OF COURSE, CODY, HASN'T USED IT AND HE MAY NEVER?
