| hephep1's Full Review: Marvins Magic Drawing Board |
I must have sucker written on my forehead! My 3 year old has been begging for one of these for months! Every time the TV Commercial came one, She would ask for the Magic Board. I am really weary of ordering anything from Television, so I said NO.
But when we started looking for travel games to take on a plane trip, I found this at FAO Schwarz Toy Store.I thought hey, it must be good, if they have it here. It came with the free markers too. I was glad to find it.
When I gave it too her she did not know what to do with it. The Black Gel, that covers the actually stripes of Red, Yellow, Blue and Green, had all sort of run to one side. It took me about 10 minutes to get it all into place. When you try to make a picture, the color under the black gel is exposed. But, the black gel runs back over the line that you just drew!
My daughter was very frustrated with this toy.Did you ever notice how fast the guy draws on the Commercial? That is why!
And Did you ever notice that there are no kids using the board on the TV Commercial, that is because it is too hard for most kids to use.
I thought that this toy would be a High Tech version of the Magna Doodle. I was wrong.
The little red stick that is provided is just about useless, it is ineffective in erasing the board.
For the amount of pressure that is required to draw on the board, you may actually puncture the surface. The directions says to be careful, because the gel can leak. NO THANKS.
This will be in the Yard Sale this Spring.
