I've always liked the Mary Kay products, until the conditionig Mascara. Sure, it gives good coverage and looks nice. But it only works well for about thirty minutes before it starts to go all wrong. Before I know it I go from looking like a normal woman, to a racoon caught in headlights.
When I first decided to buy some of this mascara I was in a bind. I didn't have any at all and one of my class mates happened to sell Mary Kay and she had some with her. So I went ahead and bought it from her and saved my mascara crisis, or so I thought. It looked great when I first put it on, but about half way into my next class someone leaned over and told me that my mascara was running. When I made it to a mirror I looked like I had been punched in the eye. There was a huge back ring all around my eye. I hadn't touched my eyes at all, no rubbing or anything.
I've never been so shocked in my life. I tried the mascara again in a few days and the same thing happened. It wasn't the make up I was wearing and I'm not allergic to this mascara. It just didn't hold on. It just seemed to crumble and fall off of my lashes with in 30 to 60 min. of application.
I was very disappointed in this product and have since changed to another brand of mascara. Most of the Mary Kay products are wonderful, but this conditioning mascara was a nightmare. I would suggest trying this mascara out at home before attempting to wear it out in public. I hope that it was just a bad experience for me and this never happens to anyone else. Just be careful when trying ths product if you simply have to try it.
I would go with another type of mascara from Mary Kay. I have tried them all and the rest work very nicely. It is only the conditioning mascara that causes those terrible 'racoon eyes.'
