| sofarsogood's Full Review: Mary Kay Creme To Powder Foundation |
Mary Kay Creme to Powder Foundation is a wonderful addition to the selection of cream and liquid foundations that are sold under the Mary Kay brand.
Creme to Powder foundation is a creamy product that smooths onto the face into a powder. The Creme to Powder foundation comes in a medium sized well that can be used alone or fits into a compact (purchase separately). It also fits into the Color Palette with a pressed powder. Creme to Powder foundation is ideal for oily skin, but also works well on normal skin. A creme product or liquid would not be advisable for dry skin, as the powder finish may be a bit drying.
Mary Kay provides a selection of ivory, beige, and bronze colors to fit most skin shades. Be aware that creme to powder foundation usually looks darker in the compact than it does on the skin. I have fair skin, but wear ivory 2. Creme to powder foundation is not included in all skin care classes and not all consultants carry samples. If you are interested in creme to powder foundation, mention it to your consultant before scheduling a one-on-one facial or for a follow-up facial.
I tried Mary Kay Creme to Powder foundation due to an allergy to talc. Talc is a powder base that can be irritating to some people. Mary Kay offers the creme to powder foundation and the Powder Perfect Pressed powder that are not talc based. I am impressed with the ability to layer and blend to get the coverage that I need, which does vary from day to day. The compact has a vented well to store beauty sponges, which reduces bacterial growth and the need to constantly replace sponges. I purchased the creme-to-powder foundation because I like what Mary Kay stands for and the foundation makes me look the way I want to see myself in the mirror. Mary Kay also backs my purchase with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
I would recommend Mary Kay Creme to Powder foundation to anyone with normal to oily skin that prefers a very matte look and can spend a bit of time blending. Creme to Powder foundation does not include sunscreen (Mary Kay is working on that). You will want to purchase a separate sunscreen to apply over your moisturizer and under your foundation. www.marykay.com can locate a consultant for you if you are interested in giving it a try.
