Have you ever wondered how some peoples make up looks SO great and stays on all day long??
I bet you thought they went and re-applied everything half way through the day or else they just have awesome skin, right?
Well have you ever given it a thought, that they just have some pretty potent make-up? I'm living proof of a person who can't wear make-up particularly foundation without it looking like I need to put more on within a few hours - Either that, or I look like I have a cake face. - Although, over the last 5 years I haven't worn much makeup at all, because of having such severe dry skin problem!
I have recently been focusing on getting my skin back into shape so that I "CAN" wear foundation and other make up. I'm sick of looking tired, worn out, and having redness on my face. This happens because I'm not able to smooth out my complexion, and wear the proper make up. I'm not old, so why should I look that way? I have been using Mary Kay products, and have been complimented several times over the last few weeks at what a difference it's made. Whether you have good skin already or even if you are one of the many people who suffer from problem skin, Mary Kay is where you will find the solution.
You can read my review about the Moisturizer that has been a God Send it has truly changed the texture of my skin. After writing that review, I decided that I would take things a step further and tell you what comes next? FOUNDATION!!!
The key to a healthy complexion is a combination of proper moisture and the perfect foundation. The Mary Kay Day Radiance® Cream Foundation with SPF 8 has been around for a long time. I still have mine from at least 8 years ago, and the reason I still have it is because I stopped using it for a while, because it just didn't look right on my dry skin. NOW I'm able to use this cream foundation, and it's doing a wonderful job even though it has sat around for 8 years.
Let me tell you a little bit about the Day Radiance® Cream Foundation - First of all, it's not a liquid, its a cream which is able to be used with or without a compact. The texture is definitely like a creamy paste, but when applied properly to your skin, it won't feel greasy or pasty at all. Who wouldn't LOVE to have a healthy complexion? Well you can have it with this foundation.
Many women don't necessarily care for their skin the way that they should, and they apply make up in a quick - half @ss way. Sorry Ladies, but I know that you know what I'm talking about. It's like - wash your face - throw on a little bit of foundation - a little blush, - do your eyes and you're out the door, right?
Well why even apply make up at all, if it's not going to give you that perfect finish on your face? Proper skin care, and then proper make up will give you the look of a professionally done face. Personally, I suggest using Mary Kay products, since they have exactly what you need. Sorry, I'm not trying to promote only Mary Kay, but for me, this woman has done a lot for a lot of women. If you're one of the lucky ones that were born with good skin, then do your skin care as you wish to, but when it comes to foundation, I strongly suggest giving this one a try.
Tips on applying this foundation:
I have used this foundation using just my fingertips for years, and it gave me good coverage and just a So-So finish.... Recently I was given one of those round make up sponge applicators, and I thought, okay, I'll use it, then I don't have to get foundation all over my fingers. WOW - What a difference! Who would have ever thought? When I applied the Day Radiance® Cream Foundation to my properly cleansed and moisturized skin, I used the make up sponge applicator. I couldn't believe the coverage I got, I couldn't believe the smoothness. It went on so smooth and even I was amazed. It took less time to apply than it ever had before, and I had better results. This foundation glides on without much effort at all.
I was left with a smooth matte finish, that was flawless, I had no blemishes or dry skin patches or even any redness showing through. I was amazed. I then proceeded to apply my blush, and my eye make up and finished it off with a loose powder. I'm telling you that I looked like I had just come from a salon and had my make up professionally applied. No kidding!!! I have always liked my Day Radiance® Cream Foundation, but recently I have seen it in a whole new light. Not only does it look great right after applying it, I think you will find that you will have long lasting coverage. I can apply it in the morning, and by 7PM or 8PM I still have the same look. I can't speak for those of you that have oily skin, but I can speak for me, I have never had any shine or oily looking skin, I haven't had to re-apply it once. So back to the first question I asked you.
Have you ever wondered how some peoples make up looks SO great and stays on all day long?? -- Well the answer is that I bet they use Mary Kay's Day Radiance Cream Foundation!
So what about this SPF 8 that I'm talking about? Well.... as we all know sun tends to age our skin, why would you WANT your face to look aged? Wear your Mary Kay Cream Foundation, and it will give you SPF 8 - protecting your skin from those awful UV rays - by all means don't purposely TRY and age your skin if you don't have to. - Right?

What you get is a .5 ounce round that fits perfectly inside one of the Mary Kay compacts. These particular foundations cost about $14.00 and in my opinion, they are worth every penny. They last for a long long time, longer than your standard cheap dime store foundations. Mabeline, Cover Girl etc... they just don't cut it when it comes to foundation - not in my book anyway!!! The way I see it is that if I'm going to spend $6.00 or $7.00 on a foundation at Walmart or something, and the stuff just doesn't do what I want it to do, then why waste the money. I'd rather spend $14.00 on something that I KNOW will work, and that will out last any of those other foundations. There is a little bit of fragrance that is pleasing, I can't tell you the number of foundations that I have tried that actually smelled horrible, but not this time. Mary Kay's Day Radiance® Foundation has a pleasing light scent that doesn't seem to bother even the most sensitive skin types.
» Now, about the compact:
Mary Kay's compact is gray with a mirror in it, the cream foundation just snaps into place and there is even a round spot there that will hold the sponge applicator nicely. When you run out of foundation, you snap it out and put a new one in. Buying the compact is just an extra thing that you don't HAVE to buy, it costs about $9.00. But, once again, you do not absolutely NEED it. I haven't had the compact and have used the Day Radiance® Cream Foundation for years. I have only just recently bought the compact just because I thought it would look nicer sitting with the rest of my Mary Kay make-up. =)
Last but not least I will give you the one and ONLY downside - I have noticed at times that my foundation has maybe rubbed a little bit of color on the collar of my shirt or something, nothing drastic, but I will be honest and tell you that it does. But then again so do most foundations. I can tell you, however, that it doesn't stain, and it washes out in the regular laundry just fine. Removing the makeup from your face is just as easy, if not easier than applying it.
Do you think I love this stuff? Absolutely! My sister recently stopped selling Mary Kay products, and I had the opportunity to buy some stuff that she had in inventory for just half price. Let me tell you, I was stocking up!!!! I'm set for a while with my foundation anyway!!! =)
