I am 52 years old, have had oily skin since I was a teenager. This condition has gotten worse with perimenopause and menopause. I have tried numerous oily skin products over the years--Clinique, ProActiv, Clearasil, Stri-Dex, Phisoderm, Neutrogena cleansers, Neutrogena facials etc. Mary Kay Oil Mattifier is expensive, comes in a little tiny tube (0.6 oz), and works (for me) for about 2 hours, and then the shine is back in full force. A tube lasts about 2 weeks. I also use 6 to 8 Mary Kay Beauty Blotters (small linen sheets) per day to soak up facial oil. These beauty blotters are not supposed to disturb makeup, but they domy blush comes off on the linen sheet. Since my eyelids also become oily, my eye makeup also comes off with the beauty blotter linen sheet. Mary Kay Oil Mattifier is not that great, but there are not any other products available that do the same job. ProActiv used to manufacture a skin matte product that was magnificent, but this no longer is available. Mary Kay occasionally has 35% or 50%-off sales, which is a good time to stock up on these tubes, which otherwise individually cost $15 plus tax.
