Durability:
Pros:Easy set up, durable, spring board floor, and pro tension technology.
Cons:Way too easy for my son to take apart.
The Bottom Line: I give this product four out of five stars. It is durable but too easy for my son to disassemble.
My husband and I like to watch WWE Wrestling and my two year old son has gotten in to the fighting scene too. He loves to fight with his Dad. For Christmas we decided to get him some wrestling action figures. He just loved them. To go along with his action figures his Grandma got him the Wrestlemania Superstar Ring. This is a real cool ring. My son loves that the ropes let him fling his wrestlers around the ring. Him and his sisters can get a little rough when playing with this ring. They try to do all the wrestling moves they see on the TV with their little action figures.
This ring is recommended for children ages 6 and up. I let my son have it because it has proven to be durable. It hasn’t yet had any small pieces break off. The only thing I have to watch him on is the ropes. He likes to take the ropes off so I have to watch so he doesn’t try to use them as a necklace. This was given as a gift to my son so I don’t know how much was actually paid for it but it is available on Amazon for about $37.
Description
This ring has two really cool features. First it has pro-tension technology. The ropes that go around the ring are elastic just like the real ring. They can bounce their wrestlers off the ropes and boy my son can get some distance with his. The second feature I though was pretty cool is that the floor mat is spring loaded. This makes for more realistic experience. When my son first got it he thought it was something he could sit in or stand on. He learned quickly what he was supposed to do with it. It is a black ring with a white floor with the WWE logo in the middle of the floor.
Assembly
Putting the ring together takes about maybe five minutes at the most. All you have to do is push the posts in the corner with the turnbuckles facing in. You will hear it snap when it is in all the way. Then you feed the ropes on the four corners. It is really easy. The rope just hooks on the turnbuckles. Once you have that finished there are a few stickers to add and your child is ready to play.
Durability
My son has stood and sat on this. He has dropped it and tried to throw it. It is still in one piece. The ropes haven’t worn out and the spring board floor is as springy as ever. It is not made of flimsy plastic. I thought that with my son being so rough with this toy that he would have had broken it the first day he had it. I was wrong. It is still going strong. He plays with this ring every day. For hours on end.
Cons
The thing I don’t like about this product is that as easy as it was to put together it is just as easy for my two year old to take it apart. He is constantly telling me to put the ropes back on because he likes to take it apart.
Conclusion
This is a great toy for my son. He likes the wrestling theme and loves to get out his wrestlers and have matches against his sisters. It is durable and can take a hefty beating. It is a little on the expensive side but well worth it since it makes my son happy and keeps him busy and out of trouble for hours. You just have to watch out for flying wrestling action figures. That seems to be his favorite part of this toy.
