The Barbie Fashion Fever Nikki in faux fur doll was given to my daughter by my mother a few months ago. My mother found it at a yard sale and paid only $5.00 for the doll still brand new in the box. This was a total steal. These dolls can go from $16.00 to $20.00 in stores. I have never seen this one though which made it special. It was a nice surprise for my daughter Emmily. She is going to be seven this November and is a huge fan of the Barbie Fashion Fever line of Barbie dolls. She likes the Nikki and Summer dolls the best, so this went over very big with her.
Description and facts:
Nikki is an African American doll. Her hair is black and wavy. Her out fit is silver/white colored and shiny. The jacket is satin like but has faux fur shoulder tops and trim. The dolls comes wearing a faux fur silver colored hat as well to match her out fit. The pants that she wears are like tights but very silky to the touch. She comes with shoes, earrings, a matching hand bag and a Barbie hair brush for the doll.
The Barbie Fashion Fever Nikki in faux fur doll stands at 11 and a half inches tall. This is the same size as most female gender Barbie dolls. This is a great feature because she can swap clothing between any other Barbie and the clothing will fit perfectly. This Nikki doll is adorable with subtle shades of painted on make up, her facial features are in good proportion and she is not identical to ever regular Barbie you see. She is easy to sit down or put on a stand. The stand would have to be one meant for dolls sized 11-13 inches. Age recommendation:

I certainly can strongly agree with this recommendation. There are small pieces such as the brush, shoes, earrings and hand bag that could be choked on should a small child place them in to their mouths. The The Barbie Fashion Fever Nikki in faux fur doll has gotten daily use since the first day that my mother gave this doll to my daughter. Emmily likes to place her in the Barbie car she has, use her in the Barbie soda shop, change her in to a swim suit and take her in the Barbie pool. When the doll is not in use my daughter proudly displays her on her shelf. This is huge because she only places her most favorite dolls on that shelf. I would say it gets at least 2 hours of use per day unless she has a lot of home work or we are going out, then it may be a little less. But it certainly gets plenty of use. My recommendation:
My daughter likes this doll because her looks are unique. She does not look like every other Barbie dolls. Nikki has her own look that appeals to my daughter. She tends to take to dolls like this one. I am glad that she gets so much use from the doll. It is certainly great for role playing. The doll fits in to the Barbie houses my daughter has, the cars, the bus, the ship/boat, pools and pretty much every other accessory made for Barbie dolls so she can get many uses and play from the doll.
This doll is easy to dress and undress. She fits all other Barbie out fits so we have fun together swapping clothing and changing them back again. It certainly looks nice up on my daughter's shelf as it is a little fancier then most of her other Barbie Fashion Fever dolls. The The Barbie Fashion Fever Nikki in faux fur doll became one of my daughter's favorites right away. My mother made a great purchase choice and was able to get a very good deal on it. To be honest if I had seen this doll for a full price some where I would have bought it in a second flat. This doll suits my daughter's taste very well. I would certainly recommend it.
