| lmkramer's Full Review: Maws Usa Comfi Catch-All Bib |
After months of doing extra loads of laundry just so we'd have clean bibs, I think we may have found a great solution to the problem! We purchased a feeding set that included Maws Comfi Catch-All bibs, and I haven't washed a cloth bib since.
The plastic bib snaps around baby's neck, and food that misses its mark is caught in the curved bottom "catch-all" of the bib. The bib is easily washed by hand and is also top-rack dishwasher safe. It works well to snap it onto the back of our high chair for use at the next meal.
My husband was delighted to see how much dribbled juice the bib would catch--no more changing a soaked cloth bib mid-meal, or having the clothes underneath get wet.
My 10-month-old was starting to pull his cloth bibs off, but so far he hasn't figured out how to unhook this one.
There are two drawbacks I have found so far:
1. The snaps on one of the four bibs we have are very loose. They just don't stay snapped, whether or not my son pulls on it. I will be calling the company to see if we can get a replacement for this one. The others snap loosely, but stay snapped. Even unsnapped, the bib is stiff enough that it stays around his neck.
2. I was going to pack this in the diaper bag today, but it's really too stiff and bulky to fit well. Although it would work just as well on the go, cloth or disposable bibs fit much better in the diaper bag.
We purchased the bibs in a feeding set with a sippy cup, two temp spoons, and all-in-one feeding set included. The entire set was on sale for $6.99--a great value for everything that was included.
