Pros: It lives up to the hype - lasts for hours

I try all new make up products and most of them are typical; what we've all seen before and not worth any extra time or money to purchase.
Lipfinity is different. It works. It has several cons and only one pro, but it's a BIG pro. It works. It lasts for hours. I have even still had some on the next day after a long night with lots of food and beverages. Even after kissing my husband - many times.
Lipfinity works. That's the pro. For me that is enough, but the cons might make it seem not a good choice for others; so here they are:
(1) It's HARD to apply. You have to be extra careful. Take your time. Wherever it lands that's where it stays. It also can go on too thick (you can smooth it over with your finger lightly - this isn't in the directions, but it makes it seem not as thick and gloppy). I think it's worth the extra effort - you might not.
(2) The colors are not what they seem to be on the box. I was looking for a nice reddish brown. Brick, maybe. I found the exact color on the box and it came out fuschia on my lips! (Needless to say, this was a shock - I had LIPS coming at ya!). My solution to this is to buy a color I think is close and then buy a very very soft (almost nude or pinky) color to layer over the first color. This also is not in the directions, but if you let the first color dry a few seconds and then apply the second it seems to work fine. It mixes to make a more neutral (not flashy) color.
(3) You will need lots of the top coat. This was a problem when it first came out because they didn't sell it separately and you had to buy a new color when the top coat ran out. Now they sell it separately and it's half the cost of the color and top coat together. This is great because I reiterate - you will need lots of it. Apply it after eating, drinking or talking. Your lips will feel smooth, not get dry and cracky and the color will last.
One other bit of information is to exfoliate (lightly) your lips before applying and make sure you have no residue of any gloss or smoother or shiner before you apply. Otherwise it will not stay on. I apply vaseline to my lips before showering (to keep them chap free) and I lightly exfoliate with a toothbrush or a paper napkin before applying the Lipfinity. It works great.
Overall, this is a great product and I couldn't live without it! Good Luck!
