Pros: goes on nicely; looks great for a moment
Cons: tons of shine and grease; huge pores
The Bottom Line: Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup does not live up to it's claims. Period. The end.

I'm always on the look out for a new foundation and yet I always come back to Clinique's SuperFit. Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup was one the piqued my interest as soon as I saw ads for it. I ended up finally buying it when it went on sale near me for $4.99.
About Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup
Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup comes in a clear plastic tube with a sliver screw on/off lid. The full size bottle which holds 1.3 fl. oz. of product retails locally for as much as $8 and as little as $5. Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup is available in 12 shades so you're likely to find one that at least somewhat matches your skin tone.
Here's the hype that Maybelline places on their new product:
"Stays Put Day-to-Night - SPF 14 Sunscreen - Oil Free - Won't Clog Pores - Fragrance Free - Hypoallergenic - Non Comedogenic - Dermatologist Tested."
-- the above claims taken off the tube
"Advanced 'fresh extend' formula has fresh-coat-pigments that resist fading and keep the fresh-look going."
-- above quote taken from www.maybelline.com

bops_mom's Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup Experience
Well, it sounded nice! Dern it! If only it actually did everything (or even a few of the things) it claims to do, I think I'd really like Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup. As it turns out this product quite simply sucks.
Choosing a shade was interesting as usual for me. My coloring is apparently different from most and while I'm rather light skinned my tones are pretty red. The color I choose (Soft Cameo) actually ended up being a near perfect match. I have to say I'm actually impressed with how closely Maybelline's shade matched my hard to match skin. Soft Cameo was just a touch darker than my actual skin, but not enough so it looked odd and the tones/coloring was perfect for me.
As I went to apply Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup for the first time I was greeted with a very runny liquid foundation. It has a very odd scent, kind of a plastic or slightly burnt plastic smell. Thankfully that scent isn't strong and quickly fades away after application. Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup was easy enough to spread around and apply. I did find that I had to go over my pores with a sponge more than usual though as this stuff settled into them, that however only took an extra minute or so.
The finished look was surprisingly nice. I was actually impressed with Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup when I was done applying it. My skin tone was totally evened out. It looked completely natural and it didn't feel like I was wearing foundation.
And then...... oh yes, and then........
I went about my daily life. Cleaning, working, caring for the kid and all that rot. About an hour and a half after applying Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup my face started to feel strange. Like I needed to wipe it off. I went to the mirror and was not happy with what I saw. My entire face was one huge oil slick. Shine everywhere! Ugh! Now, I have combination skin, so my skin can get shiny from time to time. As of late this has not been a real problem for me and so to see my face looking like this was quite a shock! I looked like I'd dipped a cotton ball in vegetable oil and smeared it all over my face. Seriously. Even my cheeks which never shine on their own were "glowing". And to top it all off, my pores looked huge! Major eewwww!
I had to blot off the oil -- it was that or just wash my face, which I was tempted to do believe me! The shine came back (what was I expecting anyway) and I had to keep blotting my face throughout the day. Lovely.
Of course, I'm such a sucker and so had to try Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup a few more times. I mean, what if this really was a great product and I had applied it wrong, or what if it was the weather that day that made me so greasy....... ?????
Okay, it was indeed Maybelline's EverFresh Makeup that made my skin look like an add for Crisco. Phooey to Maybelline for their fabulous claims which they don't even come close to living up to. *blech* Well...... some of the claims are correct -- I mean, it didn't clog my pores; however it does not stay put all day and doesn't do jack for controlling oil thus does not look fresh for more than an hour or so.
bops_mom's Recommendation
Don't buy it. I know, it sounds nice, but don't buy it. Save your money. Trust me on this one. It's pure ick.
Thanks for reading!
