Pros: looks nice
Cons: SHODDY TREATMENT OF MAYTAG CUSTOMER.
The Bottom Line: Broke in less than 60 days. Maytag does not provide adequate customer service. Will NEVER buy another Maytag product and would advise others buyers to BEWARE.

| nomoremaytag's Full Review: Maytag MFI2568AES Stainless Steel (25 cu. ft.) Bot... |
Purchased Maytag Ice2O April 20, 2006. It quit working on June 16. Called Home Depot on June 17 and by noon they had provided us with a loaner 'fridge to use until our Maytag was repaired. On May 17 Maytag "service tech" said both circuit boards were dead. Ordered parts from Houston, scheduled service call for "12 till 5" May 23. At 4:30 no one had come. Called Maytag "customer service". They informed us that the service call had been cancelled and parts order had been cancelled (without ANY notification to us and without ANY explanation of the reason!). They also insisted we needed a third part for the repair that they would RUSH to us via 2-day UPS. Refused to send overnight. Another service call scheduled for May 28 with assurance the tech would have the needed circuit boards. May 28 tech arrives, says he didn't need that third part AND he didn't have the parts to fix our refrigerator. By now we had spent hours on the phone with uninformed, uncaring, inept Maytag "customer service".
Went to Home Depot with written account of problems. Home Depot was WONDERFUL. They removed the Maytag piece of junk that day. We bought a comparable LG that will be delivered tomorrow. I'll write a review of it in a couple of months.
Also, be aware of these things. Maytag ICE2O water is NOT chilled. Food on top left shelf of 'fridge freezes. It's very noisy. My model was black and the freezer handle was cheap and flexed each time the freezer was pulled open. It's a nice looking unit, but that's the ONLY good thing about it. MAYTAG "CUSTOMER SERVICE" ISN'T CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. IT'S CUSTOMER FRUSTRATION.
The problems we had with Maytag were not Home Depot's fault, but they went out of their way to help us any way they could. I would suggest customers deal with only one manager, document your problems, and it doesn't hurt to be NICE.
