Pros: Great looks, great design, water & ice, huge storage spaces.
Cons: can't clean the glossy front with a simple wash rag.
The Bottom Line: I don't know if I'd buy this at the $2200 average price I've seen. I may have settled on a side-by-side again.

I bought a black one of these this past Saturday for $1039 at an appliance discount center. Most have dents and scratches, but the one I found had only a scratch in an area hidden by my side cabinets. Quite a deal I have to say. I did opt for the 5 year extended warranty for $99 due to several of the problems people described here. I have to ignore those here that complain about quality of parts, or door openings to get at drawers, etc. Did you not look at this when you bought it? Are other parts for refrigerators made out of substances other than glass, plastic and steel?
I purchased this unit to appease my wife's desire for a bottom load freezer while maintaining ice and water services for me. I looked at a few other units with only water and I found the ice bin to be a bit cumbersome, with reaching in the bottom drawer and all. Maybe it's because we're both tall, but it didn't seem usable for us. the only thing missing is crushed ice capability.
We are enjoying many of the features this unit has over others: deli drawer, beverage chiller, door and temp alarms, etc. The ice maker has performed well in the last two days, as well as the water. Is it cool enough? Don't really notice since I normally get ice for my water as well. Has the different layout due to the ice maker in the frig area caused any problems, nothing a little creative reorganization can't handle. We did notice this when we looked at the unit in the store.
The one area I'm having some adjustment issues with is the limited door space for condiments, salad dressings, etc. Again, something to get used to.
One feature that should be there: actual temperature readings of the frig and freezer. Another reviewer implied that since theirs is still reading 38 and 0 (the defaults), that the unit is keeping these exact temperatures. Seems to me it would be quite simple to have either an additional button, or a mod of a current button, to display what the actual temperature is. Clearly the display is there, and obviously there are temperature sensors within the frig and freezer.
Hopefully, I won't need to rely on my extended warranty for any of the excessive repairs some others have experienced.
