Pros: Accommodates wine glasses, plastic ware. Fairly quiet, nice looking. Easy installation. Lots of features
Cons: Did not clean dishes. Flimsy construction. Sludge left in tank after cycle.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this dishwasher. It does not clean the dishes

| bloake's Full Review: Maytag MDB7600A Jetclean® II 24 in. Built-in ... |
We previously owned a 17 year old GE which was in the house when we moved in. It was very noisy but the dishes always came out clean. I wasn't sorry to see it go until I bought the 7600. In the month that we had it, we never had one load of dishes that were completely clean. The bottom rack seemed to be OK, but the top rack, with mostly glasses, always came out with grit stuck to the inside of the mugs and glasses. I loved the design, the features and the fact that it was so quiet and I hated to give up on it. But, I soon wished I had my old machine back, noise and all. One thing we discovered was that the top tray did not always slide back properly over the water input hole. This may have contributed to improper cleaning but even when I aimed it into place, the top tray of dishes did not come out clean. Many times, glasses came out dirtier than when they went in. The other thing that disturbed me was this channel of dirty sludge that sat at the front of the tub under where the door opened at the end of the cycle. This was always there regardless of how light the load was. It always needed to be cleaned before the next load went in. Luckily, we bought from a local merchant who allowed us to exchange it for another dishwasher. We now have a Kitchen Aid but its too soon to write a review.
