Pros: It's big and will hold a lot.
Cons: Too big, won't balance, only rinses 3 times max.
This machine is too darn big. It has a tilted tub, which allows heavier items like cotton towels to settle down in the bottom and knock it off balance. I waited for 2 hours for this thing to balance and spin...it finally gave up and spun off balance...shaking my whole house. Don't buy it. Lowes has a 100% gaurantee within the first 30 days...it's only been 4 and I'm taking it back tomorrow. It barely fills with water, my clothes didn't even get wet until half way through the cycle. It is deeper than a conventional washer limiting it's location options...I have a small laundry closet...my full size dryer fits with room to spare, but this washer won't. I washed my king size quilt...I had to help it balance in order to get it to spin. It waits for the "perfect" balance, sometimes it looked perfectly balanced to me, but it wouldn't spin, it stopped and redistributed the load and tried again. My old asko is 8 years old and never has any trouble balancing...it has a horizontal tub, not tilted. It's a bit smaller than this maytag, but I'd rather wash 2 loads and get them finished than one big load and wait for 2 hours for the silly thing to spin. This washer is made by Samsung in Korea for Maytag. I thought it would be quality as I have bought samsung products before...not! The European models are heavier, all stainless steel, this one has a plastic outer tub and stainless inner tub.
