Pros: It is so pretty....and that is where it ends.
Cons: It walks and smells
We purchased the Maytag Neptune washer because of the improved washing ability, the low usage of water and the overall quality of Maytag products. Lowe's installed our lovely washer and dryer into our brand new home on a flat concrete floor. It LOOKED SO LOVELY! I was so excited to run the first load. But something odd happened when the machine hit the spin cycle - it walked - ACROSS THE ROOM! Thank the Lord the hose was long enough! We called Lowe's and they replaced the machine within a few weeks. Again, I was on cloud nine. This machine was much better. It just shook really hard and banged up against my new dryer making this really obnoxious noise. But the worse was yet to come....that was at about 3 months when I noticed this faint smell of mildew. I thought perhaps a load had been left in the washer too long, so I ran a bleach mix, but to no avail. The smell has continued to persist over the last year. Maytag has come out twice and fiddled with some stuff, then advised us that we are using too much detergent. Another suggestion of his was to run the powder dishwashing detergent along with about a 1/2 cup of lemon juice. Did that...it didn't work....I am so frustrated as my now brand new laundry room smells of horrible mildew! We have purchased a new washer/dryer set (not Maytag) and are sending the Maytags back to Lowe's. HORRIBLE experience! DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG!
