reddew's Full Review: Maytag MDB5601A 24 in. Portable Dishwasher
We remodeled our kitchen and to save costs, bought a kenmore dishwasher on sale. after 2 months of tears and struggle we returned it. and decided on this machine instead.
We got a great rebate, so we ended up paying 278 but even if we paid full price this machine is worth it!!
first of all it is a TALL and i mean TALL tub. I can tell by the way the door opens its practically to the floor! We were debating between this one or its whirlpool sister, and the sales rep told us, that even with the cutlery in the middle its on of the biggest machines around.
And it is! I loaded it up and wow- i was so impressed with how well the dishes fit in. not just place settings, but bowls and pots and baking dishes. in our old dishwasher, if you nestled the bowls then they did not get clean, but this one is perfect! no grimy residue anywhere.
it has a built in food disposer so it grinds the food. just scrape large food particles off and load!
it has 3 jet sprays so it cleans REALLY well and it has a angled top rack so you can fit tall cookie sheets and such.
i even washed those silicone cupcake holders- (individual) and the didn't shake around or move!
It has great options , including a tough scrub which blasts dried on food out!
very pleased!
