Why we bought the Maytag Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator
Recommend this product?
We've had Maytag refrigerators in the past and had fairly good luck, so that fact, along with a good rebate program when we ordered our appliances, led us to this model. (Besides, aren't most of the brands manufactured by the same company now anyway?) We got the option with the water inside the door, which we ironically had to tell the salesman was indeed an option.

Feedback after a year of use
Overall a winner! It holds it's temperature well and recovers fairly quickly after loading it up after a grocery trip. I like the can rack under one of the shelves to hold 12 cans of soda. It does pull out quite aways, so if you have a mix of flavors, you can pull one from the back and not just the front. The crisper drawers are large enough for a large head of broccoli or a full stalk of celery to fit in.
I'm torn on my thoughts of the dairy drawer. It's the full width at the bottom. So nice when you have prepared trays of meat/cheese - the whole thing fits. But if you just want to grab that one package of cheese, you have to open both of the french doors to get the cover of the dairy drawer open enough to reach in.
The door bins are nice and large and movable so you can set your various heights. They are perfectly sized to fit two gallons of milk in the door or the full carton of eggs fit perfectly as well.
I like the bottom freezer. When you pull out the dwawer, the bottom rack comes out. There is then a second drawer you can pull out, so it's not all just one huge space to sort through. This second drawer is also where the ice maker's bin is. There isn't a cover on it, so sometime you do find items that aren't ice, but it's a tight enough fit that it isn't a huge issue.
One surprising fact... I'm so used to stainless not allowing magnets to stick. So after we had this for at least 6 months, I was surprised when my daughter put a magnet on the front and it stuck! So I guess it's not real stainless afterall, but it's obviously not so obvious!
