We bought all new white Maytag appliances in Feb 2010, in order to get a $600 rebate. I mostly love this frig, the French doors are classy and I love the bottom freezer. It runs quietly and I'm sure is a major reason our electric bill has gone down. The layout is great and I have plenty of room. The full-width bottom shelf is really nice to have, too. I like the layout of the freezer, it is plenty spacious and the bin divider means I don't have to do much digging to find what I'm looking for. Smaller and frequently used items I keep convenient in the smaller top bin. We didn't hook up the ice maker (I've never used one before so didn't see the need for it now) so I can't comment on its usefulness or productivity.

My major complaint: the frig doors say they're big enough to hold 2 gallons of milk (and they look like they are) but they aren't. A couple of times I managed to force 2 gallons in there but after today I won't. When I jammed 2 of them in there today, I inadvertently cracked one of them in the process, and it then proceeded to leak -- into the frig seals and out onto the kitchen floor. So the deep door bins only hold a gallon of milk and a carton of OJ.
I do like the fact that most of the time I can open only one of the doors to get what I need. However, the doors cannot be trusted to close just because you push them. Often when I close one door, one of two things happens: either I close it too hard and it bounces the other door open just a bit; OR I don't push it quite hard enough and it stops just a smidge short of being closed (almost unnoticable both ways). So now every close of the door requires an extra pat to make sure both doors are actually sealed. Not too a big deal, but I did have the frig professionally installed and leveled so this should not be happening.
