Recently my youngest daughter got rid of several Mattel Barbie dolls and accessories, either sending them to storage in the garage or giving them to her younger cousin. However there are certain sets that she did not want to part with, such is true for Mattel McDonald's Fun Time Barbie and Kelly. Although she received this set approximately four years ago, it is still in good condition.

If your child likes Barbie, Kelly, and McDonald's, chances are good that he/she will like this set. Recommended for ages 3 and up (due to small parts that might present a choking hazard), this set will be most appreciated by children 4 and up. Additionally this set would likely be appreciated by those that collect all things Barbie or McDonald's. You might have to purchase this set at eBay, as this set was introduced in 2001

One of the attributes of this set is that no batteries are required. Yes, the entire set is kid-powered. Accessories include: a plastic-molded cash register, a red food tray (with a happy meal, hamburger, french fries and soda) that attach to Barbie's arm, red plastic brush, and a few cardboard dollar bills. Unfortunately the cardboard dollar bills have torn, too bad they aren't plastic!

Barbie has traditional blonde hair. She has red earrings and a red cap on her head (complete with the golden arch "M" on the front). She is dressed in shorts, yellow t-shirt with red collar, and a crew apron. Additionally she has white socks and red sneakers (with yellow laces) on. She sports a signature Barbie smile and of course has lipstick and other make-up on.

Kelly has blonde pigtails with bangs. She is wearing red sandals, red shorts, and a yellow with ditsy print smock.

My youngest has enjoyed multiple play sessions with this set, and both dolls continue to look nice. However, I should mention that my daughter stores sets such as this within ziploc bags. She likes to keep the sets together. This also assists with keeping the dolls tresses in good shape. Overall this set has been worth the approximate $13.99 original purchase price.
