Pros: light, can be folded over, protects papers, allows you to insert pages where needed
Cons: rings are a pain to open and close
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this hybrid to anyone who wants the portability of a clip board with the advantages of a binder and doesn't mind the rings!

Product Description and Claims
Mead Claims: Slim profile, open or closed, Lies flat like a notebook, Flexible and easy to carry, Tech Lock rings let you add and remove pages, Spine guard and rings keep your stuff safe, Lighten your load, carry just what you need
My Experience
I'm a university student, thus I decided to try this binder out for a semester and see what I thought of it. It is slim open or closed just as Mead claims, as well as flexible
The rings are interesting. They are handy for inserting pages wherever a person needs like a binder. However, each ring has to be opened individually and this is a pain because they snap in really tight and sometimes hard to open and hurt my fingers when pulling on them.
The binder comes with dividers so a person can put several subjects in it. This is nice. However, the binder is quite small and only holds 20 pages or so per class, any more and it becomes over filled and the pages get hard to turn. When Mead said "carry just what you need," they weren't joking.
University desks are small and there is limited room to place a binder, that is where this binder shines. It can be folded over like a clip board to maximize writing space.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this binder does exactly what Mean says it will do. While the rings are a bit of a pain to open and close and i often find myself leaving pages swimming loose in my binder, I would still recommend it to other university students because they work well on limited desk spaces and help keep papers in order.
