I dont often buy stuff without prior research, but Mega-T Green Tea Dietary Supplement was a spur-of-the-moment buy made without research and even prior intention. Well, you have to agree that when you are contemplating an urgent need to lose 10 pounds you have accumulated over the duration of winter, a bold-letter LOSE UP TO 20 POUNDS promise on a bright package is bound to get your attention. That promise was particularly appealing, considering the Mega-T package also told me that Green tea and South African Hoodia would help me to curb my appetite, burn calories and fight mental fatigue. It also didnt hurt that the pill supply for 2 weeks costs less than 8 dollars just about the amount I was prepared to risk.
Having bought the package, I started reading instructions (DUH!) with a sense of anticipation how many pounds, exactly? In how many weeks? Thats when a slight sense of disappointment hit: oh, no, they want me to diet and exercise, as well!
Indeed, included with the pills is a detailed 14-day meal plan you know, one of those ׄ oz tomato juice, 1 poached egg, ˝ cup spinach and decaffeinated coffee or tea for breakfast and an 18-exercise calorie-burning plan. The specifics of the diet were an immediate snag for me, because I had just decided to refrain from eating meat and eggs for a while, so I had to substitute sirloin hamburger with tofu, and pepper steak
- with tofu, again. Of course, I lost my determination pretty soon, which allowed me to conduct an experiment: do the pills work on their own, or is this whole green tea-hoodia promise just a fad? OK, to soften this statement, lets call it a placebo, instead of a fad we havent gotten to the conclusions yet.
The experiment was actually a clear-cut one, because I normally exercise vigorously at least 4 times a week, and the exercise plan enclosed with the package seemed too basic for me, including arm circles, knee bends, sit-ups and trunk benders, among others. Thus, I continued eating sensibly and exercising as I normally do, just adding the supplement for fun. As directed, I started taking a pill, in mid-morning and mid-afternoon, with a full glass of water.
What I noticed pretty much immediately was that the pills do increase your energy, and that is not surprising, considering green tea is a major source of caffeine. I liked the alert feeling I got from the supplement. As for curbing your appetite - hmmm
Well, a little bit. That is, the first week I took the pills, I would sometimes forget that it was time for lunch, but then I would get my usual meal at the cafeteria and finish it no problem. For some reason, the pill did not affect the munchies in the evening at all, but that might be my personal downfall - am I the only one affected by wolfish appetite in front of TV? But my personal conclusion is that Mega-T is more of a placebo than diet suppressor its all in your head, anyway.
Now to the most important part: did it work as a calorie burner? And the answer is I am not sure, but I did lose 2 pounds in 2 weeks, without changing my habits. Thus, to me, the experiment was a partial success, and I just bought my second 2-week supply without excessive enthusiasm, but in the hope that I can lose another couple of pounds soon.
Meanwhile, I did check Mega-T Green Tea on the Internet and found out that it is ranked #106 out of the hundreds of diet pills reviewed on consumerbestdeals.com, for example - based on Value, Weight Loss Potential, Mood Enhancement, Metabolism Enhancement, Appetite Suppression, Ingredient Quality, Safety, Company Reputation, Long Term Results, Customer Testimonials, and Reorder Rates. But such reviews make me sceptical, because the sites list of the 㦀 Best Weight Loss Values is basically pushing 20 products that are more expensive and possibly more harmful than Mega-T, which seems pretty harmless to me.
Thus, overall, I did not find Mega-T Green Tea Dietary Supplements to be a miracle potion I was hoping it would be, but it seems to work as a very mild appetite suppressor that can also boost your energy. With all that caffeine, it might also leave some people jittery, I am afraid. The supplement does not deliver dramatic results. As for the 20-lb promise, if you are strong enough to stay on a diet for 12 weeks, you are bound to lose weight, anyway.
