How much quicker than wax?

Pros:Contains Carnauba, pleasant smell, price.
Cons:Takes just as long as regular paste wax, Spray bottle.
The Bottom Line: This is a great wax, just don't expect to get a "just waxed shine" without using some elbow grease and some time.
Next to changing my car's oil, waxing my car ranks as one of the most tedious tasks when it comes to preventive maintenance. Waxing is time consuming, and for the life of me I can not wax my car (with a conventional wax) without it looking like a blotchy mess afterwards. With that being said, I usually look for those waxes that claim to be "easy" or "quick." Enter Meguiars Quick Wax: a product that claims to be quicker than a conventional wax, while leaving a comparable shine and protection.

About Meguiar's Quick Wax:
Quick Wax is a liquid wax and a cleaner, meaning it removes light oxidation and swirls while also providing a layer of protective carnauba wax. Unlike your typical pasty conventional wax that comes in a tube or jar, Quick Wax comes in a 16-ounce spray bottle that emits a heavy mist of wax directly to the surface of your vehicle. According to the Meguiars Company, "Quick Wax dramatically deepens the color of your paint while adding high gloss and eye-dazzling shine." Meguiar's goes on to claim that this product will produce a "show car shine in just minutes." Quick Wax can be used on virtually all car finishes, including metallics, conventional enamels, and clear coats.
What's in this stuff?
Meguiar's doesn't list the ingredients on the bottle, however it's mentioned that carnauba wax (a wax derived from the leaves of a plant native to northeastern Brazil) is included in this formula.
Ease of use:
The name "Quick Wax" is about as pretentious as product naming gets. While some waxes in this category, i.e. RainX's Fast Wax, are genuinely faster than conventional car waxes, it takes just as long for me to wax my car using Meguiar's Quick Wax as any conventional car wax. Like a conventional car wax, you must apply Quick Wax to the surface of your vehicle, wait for the product to dry (leaves a hazy appearance), and then you must buff off the haze with a dry terry cloth. Sounds like your normal wax routine, right? Also, since this product is in a spray bottle, its important that you keep over-spray from your vehicle's glass surfaces, body cladding, weather stripping, etc. (a hard task on windy days). As with most conventional waxes, your vehicle must be cleaned and prepped before using this product and it must be applied only when the surface of your vehicle is cool.
So, how long does it really take to use this product?
Although Meguiar's claims that this product should reduce the time it takes to wax a vehicle to just minutes, I have found it takes closer to an hour (or longer) just for me to wax my small Civic (or about the same time as it takes to use any conventional wax). It certainly doesnt take just minutes as Meguiars claims.
The good: Although Meguiar's Quick Wax may not be any quicker than a conventional wax, it definitely shines like one. While a lot of the waxes on the market that claim to be "quick" or "easy" provide neither the protection nor the shine of conventional waxes, Quick Wax is the exception. Like a high quality conventional paste or cream wax, Quick Wax leaves a brilliant high-gloss shine that lasts for months. Streaking and swirl marks have also never been an issue. Overall, when it comes to shine and protection, I have found that Quick Wax is just as impressive as those more expensive conventional waxes from Zymol and Mothers.
The Bad: When it comes to the actual performance of this product I don't have many gripes. However, I do have my gripes with the bottle configuration. While a wax in a spray bottle sounds like it would be more convenient, it's a pain in the butt to use on even moderately windy days. I find it easier just to spray Quick Wax on a lint-free MicroFiber towel or a 100% cotton terry cloth and then apply it to the surface of my vehicle. Since Quick Wax is a relatively thin liquid, the product tends to run, especially if you spray the product too close to your vehicle's surface; another reason to spray it on a terry cloth before applying.
How often do I need to use this product?
There is no literature on the bottle that states how often this product should be used, however I have found that using Meguiars Quick Wax every 3-4 months helps keep my car's finish looking great.
Price and Availability:
Meguiar's Quick Wax can be purchased at almost any automotive retail store or large discount store, i.e. Wal-Mart for around $4.99-$5.99 (a great deal considering comparable waxes run between 10-15 bucks). Depending on the size of your vehicle, one bottle of Quick Wax should easily provide enough product for 8-10 uses (1 waxing will last approximately 3 months).
Meguiar's can call this product anything it wants, but I have found it's simply not any quicker than any conventional wax that I have used. However, it does work just as well, if not better, than many conventional waxes on the market when it comes to leaving a lasting shine. While I am not a fan of the spray bottle configuration (due to over-spray and running), Meguiar's Quick Wax provides lasting protection, it's priced right, it contains a quality wax, and the smell is inoffensive. With so many good qualities it's hard for me not to recommend this product. If you are looking for a great wax that isn't necessarily any quicker than, say, Zymol or ArmorAll, this product is recommended 100%. However, if you are looking to cut back on the time it takes to wax your vehicle, you probably should look elsewhere.
