User Rating: Excellent
Pros:Sturdy, well made and shorter than other walkers.
Cons:Because its hardwood, takes a bit more to navigate corners.
The Bottom Line: A sturdy short push toy for early walkers. Worth the money and well made.
My experience: I have two sons and when Christmas rolled around, I was already wondering where I was going to store the plethera of new toys the kids were going to get from 'Santa'. My 3 year old had three walkers when he was a baby. Since he walked early at 9 months, we needed three walkers. But for my youngest son at 8 months - did we really need yet another walker from 'Santa'? Well he got one and just in time - the Melissa and Doug Chomp and Clack Alligator Push Toy. My second son decided to walk at 8 months and being a bit shorter, the older three walkers were a bit unsteady and taller. So, yes, the alligator push walker is our 4th walker and we are loving it so far.

The product: The alligator push toy is made by Melissa and Doug and is crafted with non-toxic dyes and nice hardwoods. The alligators mouth opens and shuts when the walker is pushed along. There are three very cute buggy toys that turn and spin around on the push bar. The handle is very stable and the wheels move forward and back and appear to be non-skid. Very well made, solid and much heavier than the other three plastic walkers that we have.
Overall: My 8 month old is a hefty 22 lbs and can tip over most plastic walkers and chairs. The alligator walker is solid and he can put all of his weight on the walker without it tipping - yes! Yet another awesome product by Melissa and Doug. It is a bit noisy but we have some vaulted ceiling in our kitchen and living room so I think that adds to the increased noise level plus Zach seems to really like the alligator chomping sounds. My baby loves the buggy toys attached to the push bar and likes to spin them when not walking with the walker. He hasn't mastered turning around corners but my encouraging three year old is trying to teach him how to lift it up and around. My three year old also likes to push the walker as fast as he can around the kitchen and ram it into my kitchen cabinets (nice huh?). Well, I'll say this, I don't like it smashing into my kitchen cabinets but kudos to Melissa and Doug for creating a smash-free paint. I thought I would see lines of dark blue on my honey oak cabinets, but there isn't. I like the walker and it suites my baby perfectly. I really didn't think I would need yet another walker, but this is the one the baby is most using at the moment.
