This thing is garbage. If you got one as a gift ask for the receipt and take it back. If you bought one, take it back. If you know someone that bought one, take it back.

These things are garbage.

A few points:

- NOT compatible with a UNIVERSAL REMOTE. If you lose your remote you have to pay them $26 +s&h to get a new one.

- About as durable as wet toilet paper. This thing gets out of alignment while moving it from one room to another.

- Controls to open/close DVD do not respond half the time. So you better have a few days to return that movie.

In short, you get what you pay for. This is a disposable DVD player if you want one for a kid who might wreck it. But do NOT pay more than $40 for it and do NOT count on it to work when you use it.
