this is one type of resturant that has never hit the UK (sucessfully).

Certainly, we have our own home made versions of BBQ's (last year the summer was so poor, we oh-so-often finished up holding a big beach brolly over our BBQ to stop the pelting rain from cooling the charcoal! (and I always enjoy the veg and Dips far more than the half cooked sausages.....).

In the summer, pubs and bars set their own up, when the think it will be suuny, but we have nothing like this as a full time resturant in Yorkshire.

Methinks my experience of the food is not the same as yours!

Enjoyed (as always), the difference in "culture" - thanks too, for your suggestion of me for THE TRUTH write off - I enjoyed contributing to the write off, big style - couldn't manage any Tom Jones though....!

So, if my mouth is watering, you've accomplished your task... well my mouth's watering! I've never heard of this place (maybe it's a Cali-only restaurant?), but it sounds great, as I'm a barbeque fan!

Thanks Juls and Suzi! You know what the funny thing is? The pig in the epinion isn't the Memphis Minnie pig! The pig in question is even cuter... go figure!

Thanks, Suzanne!

One of my many goals in life is to make it to Memphis just to scarf up some brisket. One day, one day.

This place sounds fantastic! We used to live in Memphis and the barbecue there is really the best in the South. Usually when a restaurant has a cutsey name like this one, I steer clear, but sounds like you've found yourself a winner!

Great job on the review, I could almost taste the 'Q!

Thanks, Mark....

Confession Time Maybe I'll lose all cue credibility - but I've never had bbq in Texas or Tennesee... but I've had a lot of bbq in California. If there's any consolation, this place is the best I've ever sampled.

So there really is such a thing as good barbecue in California?? Who would ever have thought it!
;-)

Just kiddin'... I'm a big fan of smoked meat with all the trimmin's and this sounds like just the kind of place where I'd want to hang my hat if I were to roll through town.

Nice review!
