Pros: It's a great concept.
Cons: Difficult to know your crowds reaction to the questions. The voting selector has a flaw.
The Bottom Line: I loved the idea of the game. Woman and men are different. This game just didn't make it with the men and woman in our circle of friends.

| popsrocks's Full Review: Men are from Mars Women are from Venus Game |
Having read the John Gray books that have the genders originating from different planets and thus communicating on dissimilar levels, I thought this could be an interesting, challenging, and fun filled game for the adults. In our case the game never really made it.
OBJECT
The teams, men from Mars vs. woman from Venus, must guess how players will answer questions. The individuals within a gender have the ability to vote separately and differently from their team mates, however, the same gender team moves as one on accumulated points of the same gender individuals. Four or more adult players are needed for this game. The first team to reach the planet Earth is the winner.
GAME PARTS
-A game board, the shape of an oval, has the two teams converging on the planet Earth from differing starting points on the far ends of the oval.
-The tokens used to move along the board toward the final destination for the men are cone shaped while the woman have an hour glass figure.
-Each team has three voting tokens the men are red and cone shaped the womans are Teal and Hour glass shaped.
-Each team receives a "My two cents" chip.
-Teams will each have a voting selector piece. This is a round flying saucer shaped object that can be adjusted to show a choice picked by a player that will stay hidden until all votes are in. This voting selector piece has three four settings. The mens have A,B,C, and cave. The woman A,B,C, and Well.
The cave is where a man goes when they need silence, space, and time alone. the well is where woman go to get nourishment and comfort.(More on this later)
Supplied is one box with two sets of cards within, teal for woman, red for men.
The cards have 7 different categories of questions. The following is direct from the instruction book.
COMMUNICATION-Talking, listening, or lack thereof
GENDERBENDERS-truths, assumptions and notions about the genders.
ISLAND FANTASIES- deserted island fantasies and other earthly desires.
FAMILY AFFAIRS- weddings, marriage, and family matters.
IN the FLESH-sex. What else would you like to know?
The DATING CIRCUIT-dating does and don'ts
SCORING POINTS- "point values" given by men and woman.
GAME PLAY
Play starts as the woman take a card. This will then alternate to the men once play is done.
The woman picks up the card from the Venus side of the box. On each of the subsequent woman's turn, a different woman must pick up the card and do the following.
Read the information on the card out loud to both the woman and the men. She reads the category, the question, and the three possible answers.
The card reader then decides how she will answer the question and dials the corresponding letter choice A,B,or or Well. The well option simple means that they do not want to answer that question because they may be uncomfortable with the question, or they do not agree with the three option answers on the card. If the well is chosen the answer does not have to be given. This still keeps that player in the game. On the mens turn they can go to the cave for the same "I do not want to answer option".
Once the player sets the voting selector piece play goes to everyone else, male and female. They all use there token to match the appropriate answer they feel the player fixed into the voting selector.
There are A,B,C,Well, and Cave Spaces on the board. Each player as individuals then place their token on the board.
The original player then shows the answer that is locked into the voting selector. For each correct vote the males their token will move up a place. Same for the woman.
This play alternates back and forth until the game is over. The "Two cent tokens" are used as a one time deal to try and double points.
There are a couple of other little twists in the game too. Nothing all that interesting to bother mentioning.
OUR EXPERIENCE
We attempted the game a couple of times. Maybe it was the mix of our crowd or the fact that we still have kids in our home wandering in and out as the adults play, but, the game never really became a hit. It had drawn some excellent dialog at points. Some questions that were fun to answer, but at others I felt there was a bit of squeamishness from our guests and I suppose this guy too.
Some of the questions were a bit too personal mostly in a sexual way. This may be a good game played without any children nearby and with an uninhibited and open crowd. I suppose my circle of friends didn't meet this criteria.
Another point in its favor is that the game itself has an answer to the uncomfortable questions. Woman have the well and the men the cave to go to. Even so, some people don't even want to confront an answer that way. There can be an embarrassment factor in this game. I suppose its that part we are not comfortable with.
Some questions just fell flat. There was no fun or enthusiasm or challenge in the question.
The game also tries to cater to different segments of the population. Dating couples, co-habitating couples, and married. This throws things off balance a bit. Some questions were worded toward a particular group.
One last point. The game had a few too many "does size matter" questions. One can be fun, two may do, three and more, it all becomes a bore.

A SMALL PROBLEM
There was what I thought a of as a flaw in the voting selector piece. Even the name of it I dislike, too cumbersome. When a person sets it you cannot read what is in the window. That is the way it is meant to be. The problem is that the window itself is positioned in particular position for each choice. The window is then left facing print on the outside perimeter of the voting selector piece. It's like a big hand of a clock pointing to the time on a clock, you know what answer is chosen if you were sly and picked up on this.
The option is to hide the full piece. Unfortunately that would defeat the purpose of setting it and leaving it out in plain view in the first place.
END GAME
There were just a few too many things that kept this game from becoming a hit in the land of popsville. I cannot recommend paying any good money for it. Pick it up if you see it at a yard sale for three bucks.
