I had a coupon for B.O.G.O.F. on Met-RX Big 100 Colossal Meal Replacement Bars, so I headed to Walmart, as they always have the cheapest prices.  They had Super Cookie Crunch, or Peanut Butter Pretzel.  As I am not a peanut butter fan, I bought one bar of Super Cookie Crunch for $1.96, and got the second one for free.  

This costs a lot more than the other protein, power, energy bars that I buy, but this is twice the size, and the other ones are either a snack, or lunch size.

The wrapper is bright red, and has the name, and then a picture of an amazing looking bar.  That was what really sold it to me.  It states that it has no artificial flavors, or colors.  It has 32 grams of protein, and 0 trans fat.

I opened up the bar, and it is huge, and feels heavy.  I checked on the calories, because this can be a meal replacement bar, so I guessed that it would be high.  The total is 410.  Even though I had walked 5,000 steps, I figured that I would cut the bar into three pieces.  This way I would get 10.66 grams of protein, and 136.66 calories.  As I am a very small eater, I figured that this would be a perfect amount for me.

The Met-Rx Big 100 Colossal Meal Replacement Bar has a vanilla topping to it, then hard packed crispy chocolate, like chocolate rice krispies, but much more dense.  Then the bottom half is coated with chocolate.

I bit into my third of a bar, and liked the overall taste.  The vanilla blended well with the two kinds of chocolate.  I am not sure where the cookie, in the name comes from, but the crunch is certainly there.  

I then tried the vanilla on it's own, and it really didn't do anything for me.  This bar has to be eaten as is.  The three difference textures, and flavors really go well together.

I am 118 pounds, and so don't need as much fuel as a guy weighing twice my weight.  If you are an athlete, or a trainer, then a whole bar could work for you.  I did find it a little on the dry side, so had a 16 ounce drink of water with it.  I find that I need to drink plenty of water with any kind of energy, fiber, or nutritional bar.

I really did feel full after eating this, and was pleased that I hadn't reached for a candy bar, that would have had more calories, and didn't give me the nutritional value that this bar did.

Checking on the wrapper it does state: "Adults, for best results drink 8 fluid ounces of water or other liquid with this bar."

The nutritional facts are for the full bar, so I divided these by one third.  After an hour of boxing, or aerobics, I know that I could eat half the bar, and be fueled up.

I had my third of a bar at 12.30 p.m., and didn't eat dinner until 5.00 p.m.  I didn't feel hungry between these times.

Met-Rx Big 100 Colossal Meal Replacement Bar is one that I will be happy to buy again.  It gives my body back goodness that it needs, it tastes great, and with a drink of water felt like a meal to me.  The great thing is that I enjoyed this as much as a chocolate candy bar.

Since eating my first Met-RX Big 100 Colossal Meal Replacement Bar, I have bought them several times, when I have had a coupon for $1 off.  I have also tried the other flavors, but found this one to be my favorite.
