User Rating: Excellent
Ease of Use:
Very easy to maneuver.
Cons:Not a one-hand fold-up.
5-point harness a little weird.
The Bottom Line: It's a great stroller for the price. It looks expensive, has quality features like recline, and is very easy to steer. Not perfect, but what is for that price?
I looked at so many reviews online on many different strollers in the $50-$100 price range before deciding to order this. I bought it for my son who is 14 mos., 23 lbs. I was not looking for a fancy, heavy-duty stroller. Just something lightweight that I can use for errands, in the mall, in the park, etc. Most of all, I needed something of quality that was also reasonably priced. That pretty much describes the MiaModa Facile. It is indeed lightweight, and very easy to maneuver. It steers easily, and makes tight corners well. I tried out a number of strollers at Babies R Us and USA Baby, and many of them appeared to have shocks or something on the back wheels that made them near impossible to turn even a wide corner with my 20+ lb. son sitting inside. The Facile does not have that problem at all. I have used it on a number of different terrains like pavement, gravel, dirt, grass. It does well on all. The wheels are kind of nice because they are made of some type of hard foam stuff instead of air-filled tires, so you never have to worry about a flat. However, I think if you take it on really rough, rocky ground often they might get worn down a bit. But I haven't had any trouble yet. The recline is nice, and something I was looking for. You really can't find many (if any) umbrella type strollers with a recline, so that's a big plus. It doesn't go down all the way flat, but it gets pretty close, and I don't know how necessary that is anyway. The seat has plenty of room for my son to grow (he's not very wide, but he's not teeny either. He wears size 18 mos. clothes if that helps). If I put my hand flat against the back of the seat I can feel the bars that are part of the support/structure, so the seat isn't thickly padded. But, I don't think it's that big of a deal because he's not in there for hours and hours at a time, and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. He looks plenty comfortable in it. The storage basket isn't huge, but if you're looking for a lightweight stroller you're not gonna get that anyway. The handles are covered in a very comfy padding and they are placed well. I am 5'6" and my husband is 6'3", and we both find it easy and comfortable to steer. Some other strollers we tried were awkward for my husband because the handles were too low for him to reach comfortably. The fold-up isn't super easy, but it's not bad at all once you try a couple of times and get the hang of it. You definitely need two hands for the job. Also, pull the footrest up first, and that makes it easier. It locks on it's own. Getting it unfolded is easier. My biggest complaint is the 5-point harness. It seems like the part where the straps all buckle into is too low or something, and it leaves too much room for his arms to wriggle around and possibly get out if it's not tight enough. I think I might be able to adjust the straps a little better to make it more secure. Overall I am happy with my purchase. It's a really decent stroller for a great price. It looks high end, but costs much less. Nice, easy-to-clean material, too.
