Pros: Responsive handling, great highway tire!
Cons: Yes, they cost a bit ...
The Bottom Line: Spend the extra money to get away from General, Uniroyal
and other OEM tires. Michelin has the right SUV tire for city slickers right here.

| ksaudio's Full Review: Michelin Cross Terrain SUV Truck/SUV Tire |
I have long been a fan of Michelin tires and have put LTX M&S on 2 vans and a pickup with no complaints. When it came time to replace the OEM Uniroyal Laredo on my wife's 2004 Blazer, I wanted a slightly less aggressive tread than than the LTX. After A LOT of research I chose the Cross Terrain over the "better rated" Bridgestone HL ... largely because in the OEM size the Cross Terrain weighs a good deal less.
Excellent tire, excellent handling and responsiveness, quieter than the LTX tread ... So much better than the Laredo ; there's really no comparison.
Reading the handful of negative reviews here I have to guess that the vehicles had suspension or alignment problems or the tires were not properly inflated....
If you mount an aftermarket tire that does NOT have the same maximum PSI as the stock tire you cannot rely on the tire pressure prescribed on the door frame of your vehicle.
Switching from a stock 32 PSI tire, with a manufacturer's suggested in flation of 28 PSI (such as Montero Sport) to the Michelin LTX with a max inflation of over 40 psi, it will wear prematurely, cup and handle very poorly inflated to only 28psi; conversely, inflated to 40psi the ride will knock your teeth loose !! work with a knowledgeable installer to determine the correct inflation
