| bbobbyo's Full Review: Michelin Cross Terrain SUV Truck/SUV Tire |
It sure is great to have a really good set of tires on my '01 Durango instead of the eggshell consistency of the factory stock Wranglers. The Cross Terrain hugs the pavement like glue on fast curves yet floats through the sandy beaches of Cape Cod like giant marshmallows at 18 lbs psi.
These tires have only been available since February 01, but far outwork any Goodyear, Kelly or Goodrich on any 4x4 I've owned (always only owned 4x4 since my new 72 Land Cruiser). The bummer for me and these tires was the unavailability of raised white letters to replace my stock P265 70R16's, which are on EVERY Durango SLT with the "handling package". However, I let sensibility win out over looks. Maybe the Michelin gurus will do a little market research before too long and realize there is a world of Durangos out there.
Can't say enough good things about these tires.
The next time I buy a new truck and they "have" to give me the Wranglers, Goodyear will be the deal breaker. Never again with Wranglers. Three times burned with that junk on three new trucks makes me look TOO stupid, and sometimes I don't need the help
