Michelin is an incredible tire manufacturer. From their commercials we hear about "so much that is riding on your tires." Nothing could be truer. I had an small accident a few weeks ago thought that the damage was minimal. It happened on a Thursday when I was rear ended at a stop sign.
I took the car in for an estimate the following Monday and the body shop manager was shocked. The accident had pushed the muffler bracket into my right rear tire. This was carving a serious groove into the side of my tire. He told me I was lucky that I brought it in that day right after it happened. BUT, I informed him that it hadn't happened today, but the week before. He could not believe that the tire had held up. THEN came the big whammy.
I had driven to Maryland over the weekend with my fiancee to a wedding: 13 hours round trip.
You can imagine how baffled he was. The shop manager had no explanation, but he certainly recommmended using the same tire again.
You can bet I did.
They wear better than any I have had. Over 40,000 miles and great even wear. You've got to rotate regularly, though.
