natedowg's Full Review: Microsoft Intelli Optical (D58-00015) Mouse
I used to use those ball point mice, and they were a real hasle. You had to clean them, take extra care of the ball, and the left and right clickers went out after a wile. This mouse is lazer guided, and also has two clickers on the left and right side for viewing back and forward pages. This mouse is really durable as well, with no need to clean (or at least I havent had to).
A few things that I dislike about this mouse is that (very rarely) the lazer dosent come on in time so you need to redo your curser. Also (this has nothing to do with preformance) but the exterior white color gets dirty very fast. Now, one more thing that i dont really like is that the scroll also dosent catch as fast and you want it to, but these are all very minor problems.
Now when (or if) you had/have a ball mouse, you tend to reach really far across the mouse-pad just to get from one side of the screen to the other didnt you? well this mouse is really good about that, you can go from top to bottom and still have half the mouse-pad to travel. Also, i really like the size of the buttons, and the grip of the scroll. So if you ever want to try putting oil or lube on your ponter finger and try and scroll with it, you would be able to do it (dont ask how i know). I also really like the smooth glide on the mouse-pad with this mouse. Unless you have a pebble on the pad, this mouse wont studder. Another good thing is the instructions on what does what with this mouse, and how to take it apart if something gets lodged somewere in the mouse. The compatability is also very good, This mouse is compatable for Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 2000, and Apple MacOS. So even if your a little behind on teconology, youll be safe with this mouse.
