I have been using a Microsoft Ergo (Natural) Keyboard for years now. In my humble opinion there is no other keyboard that is designed with such flexibility of typing movement and comfort.
As with all transitions between regular devices and ergonomic devices, there will be a few days of awkwardness. Also, if you have used another type of ergonomic keyboard you may notice that the F6 key is not on the same side of the keyboard of the Microsoft Natural Keyboard as most other ergos.
However, after this transition, there will be such an ease of movement of your hands and wrists that you will feel like you're hardly typing at all.
The Microsoft Ergo Keyboard (also known as the Natural Keyboard) is much more expensive than the other brands of keyboards. However, I believe that you pay for the quality of the keyboard as well as the comfort.
It is very difficult to break this keyboard unless you deliberately do it outright.
To give you an durability factor, my current Natural keyboard was bought in November 1997. It has survived being dropped too many times times to even count, and it works just as well as it did when I first bought it.
In this age where there are so many people suffering the effects of not only carpal tunnel, but other repetitive stress injuries, I truly believe that input instruments such as the Microsoft Natural Keyboard will continue to increase in popularity.
I am proud to give this keyboard the highest recommendation and encourage my friends to buy this product as well.
