jason999's Full Review: Microsoft Wheel Optical (D66-00021) Mouse
I purchased about 20 of these mice for the office I once worked for. I wanted to slowly replace the ball mouses we had with a more modern looking mouse that my coworkers would be happy with.
What's great is when the lights were dimmed in the office at around 5:30PM, the back underside of the mouse wold glow a warm red color. It helped make the workstations more futuristic in appearance. It seemed to soothe the nerves of my coworkers who were always complaining about their mice. In fact I was used it as a reward to those people who were cool with me. I worked my reward power.
I've never had a problem with those mouse for about 6 months. I left after that time but I'm sure the coworkers were happy with them. To anyone who still uses ball mice or scroll mice or whatever you want to call it, you should just pay the extra few dollars and go optical. Once you do you will never go back.
The color of the mice matched office decor and wasn't very weird looking. I installed one in the corner office of the president and he was grateful. I never received a complaint about that mouse in a group of 30 people.
