I use to have te normal mouse and the ball needs to be clean. It traps dirt and it will cause the cursor to jump like a real mouse.
But finally, I gave up on that and got this optical mouse. It is the best investment. It never need cleaning, and it never jumps.
Installation was very easy. since I have the usb version.
Plug it in, it will detect the mouse. It will work this way, but you will not get all the mouse features.
If you install the driver along with the software, it will be great. You can set the middle button as the back button for IE browsers. Save you from clickin back all the time.
The wheel scrolls great and its the middle button.
after the software is install, you can set the middle button to do different things. YOu can also set the amount of lines the wheel will scroll per notch.
