Windows XP is a great operating system which I personally prefer over Windows Vista.  Windows XP has great security, an easy to use interface that everyone is familiar with, and it doesn't use up allot of RAM. Many people asked me whether or not i recommend they switch to Vista.  My answer was simply: no.  Windows Vista has many more bugs and uses much more RAM, effectively slowing down the performance of your computer. SP 2 introduced a major patch by Microsoft, raising security in overall, improving the operating system.  I have been very satisfied with my copy of Windows XP, and have only switched to Windows Vista Ultimate on one of my computers.  Windows XP has "kept chugging along" for me.  It is very free of bugs, only a few remain, and it has a very easy to navigate interface that most people are familiar with.  It is by far worth upgrading for anyone running a copy of Windows older than XP  My experience with this product has been wonderful.  I cannot stress enough how well XP has worked for me over the years, especially since i have begun to dig deeper and deeper into the settings and tweaking every little thing to exactly how I want it to run.
