Pros:Comfortable, Charges with 360 off, Good and Loud
Cons:Microphone doesn't pick up low talking
The Bottom Line: If being tethered to your Xbox 360 controller is bothering you, you won't be disappointed with this headset.
I purchased the wireless headset for the Xbox 360 for $49.99. I, like many 360 owners, got tired of being tethered to my controller by the regular wired headset and wanted to break free. Unfortunately there are no 3rd party wireless headsets for the Xbox 360 so this was really the only choice anyone has (and the Halo edition).

In the Packaging
The set includes the headset itself, several ear loops, and a USB cable to charge the headset by plugging it into the front of the Xbox. Instructions for pairing are also included.
I have used this item extensively with Call of Duty 4, and while I do believe that it is a great headset, it is not without its problems. On my end, the sound is clear and loud; no problems there. However the microphone does not seem to be as sensitive to my voice as the wired headset is. At normal speaking voice this is still not a problem, which is why I do not knock off too many points for it. However, when I am playing late at night and do not want to disturb my roommates with my Call of Duty speak, they cannot hear my lowered voice like the other headset was able too. This is something to keep in mind if you are in a similar situation.
The headset seems to keep a good charge, I use it for several sittings before having to charge it. It will give you a beep every once and a while when the battery is getting below 30 minutes left, and beeps even more when you are down to 10. I forget to charge it often and usually have it die on me while playing and I have to revert to my old headset. This, however, is my own forgetfulness and not a downfall of the product. Another thing to mention is that unlike the controller charging kit, you can charge this headset while the Xbox is off which is fantastic! I really wish the controller charging kit worked the same way.
This headset comes with a small and large ear loop to better suit people with different sized ears. Although I wish the headset had a more traditional Bluetooth headset style ear loop (one that doesnt make a full loop), I still find this way to be comfortable. It doesnt really feel like it could fall off your ear without some major movement. No problems in the comfort arena.
If you are tired of being tied to your controller and want a little more freedom with your Xbox headset, this is definitely a good option (its the only option!). The microphone could use some improvement on picking up lower voices, but this is not an issue that will affect everyone. Im still glad I spend the extra money for the extra freedom!
