Bought an Xbox 360 pro a few years ago and recently noticed that the kids and myself had basically filled up the 20gb hard drive. Every time we wanted to download a map pack or Indie game we had to search the memory to delete items to make room.
Enough is enough.
I bought a 250gb hard drive at my local retailer and it has more than enough room for all we need. At first I thought I would have to start over with all my acheivments and saved games. Nope, the 250gb hard drive included a cable for a one time memory swap with the old hard drive.
It came with easy to follow instructions and once the download was complete, easy to install in my Xbox 360. I have owned it now for over three months and we have not had one problem with it.
We are able to save games off the disk now to save on wear and tear on or disks as well as shorten load times. I have over a dozen games saved to this hard drive and I have used up only about 75gb.
We also have all the map packs for Call of Duty World at War, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty Black Ops, Halo 3, Halo Reach, and Gears of War 2. Lot's of music and a lot of demo games.
Anyone who has an old system and is on Xbox live you must upgrade your hard drive so you can use Xbox Live to it's full potential. I believe this small investment has added three or four years to the life cycle of my system.
