harveypeters's Full Review: Microsoft Xbox 360 Core System White Console
X-Box, if you dont know by now, which is Microsoft's first attempt in the hotly contested next generation console wars is the subject of this review. So what are my thoughts?
Ill break it down for you based on various aspects of the system
Company - (Microsoft)
With a mammoth company behind the system, how could the system not succeed? Microsoft's experience in the PC industry and connections worldwide make this system competition to any of the established "players" such as PS2 and Gamecube.
Hardware Specs -
One advantage of introducing your system late in the "game" (pun on words:)) is the more advanced technology under the hood or in Tool Time words , "more power, huuuhh huhhhh huhhhh" In this regard X-box doesnt fail to disapoint with specs far ahead of PS2 and Gamecube.
Graphics -
X-box is a visual schmoraborg with tons of tantalizing examples that show off the systems power. Examples of this would include Ninja Gaiden, ESPN NBA2k4, Conkers Bad Fur Day (coming later this year) Splinter Cell:Pandora, etc...
Game Selection -
X-box has a little bit of everything for everyone. RPG's, first person shooters, adventure, shootem ups, etcc.. You name it, you can find something to like on this system, granted however PS2 has a much larger game base due to it's earlier release...
Overall Impression -
I find the X-box to be one of the best game systems I've had the chance to own (and I've owned many many systems - N64, PS1, Sega Genesis, etc..) and would highly recommend it to anyone whose intrested in a powerful next gen console.
