moviebuff88's Full Review: Microsoft Xbox 360 Core System White Console
The Xbox has been the best system you can buy for about four years, now they have finally come out with the new Xbox 360 witch produces much better graphics. The reason the Xbox was the best was because it can do a lot more than their competitors who created the Playstation 2. The Xbox produces way better graphics, you can download music onto it, it comes with a hard drive built in, you can have four players at once and with the PS2 you can only have two. The Xbox and the PS2 are even the same price, and the PS2 comes out costing more because you have to buy a memory card or you won’t be able to save. Memory cards for the PS2 are about twenty dollars.
In my opinion I thought that the Xbox controller was a lot better too. It fits into my hands perfectly and is just so much easier to use than the PS2’s controller. There are more buttons and it’s much bigger and is just the perfect shape for my hands.
The only good thing about the PS2 is that it has more titles, but there are a lot of great games that can be found only on Xbox. Popular games like Halo, Doom 3, and mostly FPS games. That’s what the Xbox is known for their FPS (first person shooter) games. The graphics look to me about twice as good as the PS2’s the only problem is that the Xbox is a lot bigger and heavier than the PS2.
The price for the Xbox is currently $150 which isn’t a bad asking price for such a great system. The Xbox can also play DVD’s and has the best DVD player I have ever seen, the PS2’s DVD player is crap. I think $150 for the Xbox is a great price, it wasn’t so cheap before so now is the best time to buy one.
The xbox is a very entertaining thing to have. Sometimes I will find myself playing this thing for over two hours! It’s very fun and addictive and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to let go of the controller. I love my Xbox so much, and I just keep playing it.
This also has something called Xbox live and this means that you can play against other people online! I thought it was really cool, but I could never get it working at my house, so I have never actually had Xbox Live. I just play it at a friend’s house. Yes Xbox live is very fun and cool, but I could live without it. I wanted to have Xbox Live but I just couldn’t figure out how to put it all together and I don’t have the best internet connection so it probably wouldn’t have even been that great at my house. I was surprised that there are several games that are compatible with Xbox Live.
My favorite game on the Xbox was Far Cry Instincts because it was an FPS with the best graphics that you can possibly have on the Xbox. This game showed that this system still has a lot of power and can still produce some awesome graphics.
If you are looking to get a really great game system and you don’t have an Xbox I suggest you go out and buy one right now because Microsoft couldn’t have possibly made a better system. The graphics are beautiful and I’m sure a lot of people were surprised at just how great of graphics this thing can produce. Most Xbox games that I’ve played had pretty short loading times too. I heard rumors that this thing could play computer games, I wish it could but I’m sorry it can’t.
If you are looking for a game system that is good for little kids than I suggest you buy the Nintendo Gamecube, because most of their games are rated E for everyone and are great for youngsters. The Xbox is more for the teens because most of their games are rated T to M. (which means Teen to Mature) this is the perfect system for my family and me because none of us really like E rated games. We like to see a lot of blood and guts and this system has got plenty of games for it. I think this system is best known for its shooter games.
I think anybody who likes video games should own an Xbox. Because it's just so fun to play and there are so many good games for it. My friends, and I love our Xbox systems. A lot of times we’ll all get together and enjoy the Multiplayer option on Far Cry. I love my Xbox and I’ll never recommend a PS2 to anybody.
Another great thing about this system, and bad thing about the PS2 is the PS2 always breaks, after having it for about a year. It always does something where it won’t read the disks. It shows something that says Disk Read Error and sure has p*ssed off a lot of people. Because as soon as it shows this error message you’ll no longer have the warranty for it. So my final recommendation is buy the Xbox!
