yescomom's Full Review: Microsoft Xbox 360 Core System White Console
We purchased a Microsoft XBOX console for our children two years ago. We bought it hoping to give our children a new aspect of video game technology. However, we soon discovered how this console is not very family-friendly. In our opinion, there are very few games to purchase which are not teen or moderate. And, to be quite honest, we were not too keen on all the listings that fall under the E for everyone title. I am sure your family will enjoy the graphics in the games; however, this is not the console to purchase if you want to be cautious of what your children see and hear.
I believe there are so many consoles that are on the market today in which you can find a better selection of games for your family. If you do a search on the internet, I believe you will find game systems geared towards a younger audience. The graphics may be well-designed on the XBOX systems; but, the violence is not pleasing to the eye. The words in some of the music is not too easy to take either; I would have thought that Tony Hawk's video games would have been okay for the younger teens to listen to. My friends were actually the ones to point out the messages in the songs.
Therefore, it is in my opinion that if you are looking to purchase the XBOX system for an older teen or adult, it may be okay. However, younger teens and children will do much better with a different gaming system on the market.
