Nhl Hitz is an adrenaline- action hockey game that gives you everything that hockey is all about.
Graphics- The graphics are beautifully detailed models of all your NHL starplayers, and the crowd is one of the first 3d crowds ever and they react with the game. The action is great you can check players so hard they actually
sends them over-the boards and through the glass. Its amazing.
Graphics- 9.7
Sound- The sound fits perfectly with the game with hit songs from Limp Bizkit, Korn, Staind, Fuel and more. The music might be good but the actual sounds of the players and crowd is 10x better. The sounf of the glass breaking to the fans cheering can really get you pumped.
Sound- 9.5
Gameplay- The game plays like the same fast-paced action like NFL Blitz. Bothgames made by Midway. It does have the classic on-fire mode which will makeyou faster and shoot harder. The only flaw is there is only 3 on 3 games plus
goalies. Now, this doesn't bother me but some of you that might be looking for a more realistic hockey game might not want it. Here are the few modes.
Exhibition- You can play against your friends in a regular game. You can play with up to 4 players, and up to 3 players on a team. You can gain pts. For every win, or if you answer a trivia question right, to get points to buy
stuff at the hockey shop.You can play under rookie, pro, or all-star.
Championship- You can choose any team and try to beat ever team. If you lose you will play them again. Keep playing until you have defeated every team. You can play with up to 3 people on each team. You can also gain pts.

Franchise- After creating a team under custom team you can, play with your team to gain attribute points to add to your players to make them better or you can answer a trivia question right. You have to win 50 games under
franchise difficulty, it gets harder and harder as you go along.
Custom Team- You can create your own team and modify your attributes,appearance, your name, number and nickname which is what they will call you by. You can create up to 6 players and a goalie.
Skills- Here you can create your own user name and try to break records with all different types of skills such as Hitz where you have to hit eveybody and targets where you have to break the targets etc.
Hockey Shop- Here you can cash in all your earnings for new teams,jerseys, heads, and staduims to play at.
Options- Here you can change game settings, you can watch a DVD- feature which is Inside Nhl Hitz where you can see how they made it and what their goals were. You can also check out high-scores such as most goals in a
game etc. Note: To get your name in a high-score list, you must put in your user name.
As you can see, this game has a lot you can do. The fights are the best fights I've seen in a hockey game yet, they are so cool. You might think this is only good under multi-player but I have played for many hours by myself,
but even more hours under multi-player.
NOTE: I'm not sure how much memory the game takes up but I've saved a new team, frnachise and championship and I think it was about 11 blocks. I have 4 other games saved so it shouldn't be anymore.

Controls- The controls fit perfectly especially for the gamecube, I just love their controls and controllers.
Control- 9.8
Final Word- This game has a lot to it and it really can make you come back for more, more times than you think. There is just so much you can unlock. I can't wait for Midway to release another game like this. Maybe next time a
basketball game. You can get this game for both ps2 and x-box as well. The only difference is the controls, and I think they are best for gamecube.
