Pros: Close to UN.
Cons: DIRTY, unkempt.
The Bottom Line: Very disappointing to have been given a room in such poor condition this close to the United Nations. Not the impression to leave with foreign visitors.

My reservation was for two nights in a king non-smoking room....
I arrived LATE on Thursday night, they were out of kings. They said I could switch out rooms in the morning.
When I entered my room, I was immediately greeted by a musty/smoky aroma. There were two very small double bed, almost the size of a twin. (definitely not for two people) The beds were not made properly, the bottom sheet did not cover the mattress pad, leaving the foot of the bed exposed. I almost remade the bed, instead fought the sheets all night. The pillows were nice and fluffy.
The bathroom has PLENTY of light and mirrors, nearly every wall was covered in mirrors. The shower/tub was not pretty. It was peeling from some sort of resurfacing they had tried to do to cover the dirty tub. The natural stone walls of the shower/tub had black mold on the surface and in the grout. YUCK!!! The water pressure and temperature fluctuated up and down as I showered.
When I returned to the bed area in daylight, I noticed a very LARGE red stain in the carpet between the two beds. Not sure what it was...
There was a mini bar, fridge and tempting goodies in a basket (for a $$) The TV was average size. Internet availability for about $15 per 24 hr. day by connecting through ethernet cable in to the hotel service. No wireless signal strong enough to remain connected on the upper floors.
The lobby area was nice. The staff average. I did not visit the pool or gym.
This hotel is right next door to the United Nations. This location is great for those needing to go both downtown and other parts of the city.
For the price of the room, the overall condition was lacking. I have to wonder if I was given an out of service room without being told
. If all the rooms are like this then, I am disappointed that foreign visitors may have been left with the same poor impression.
