Pros: It's cheap.
Cons: Smells bad. Lacks taste. Then, hits you with a bad aftertaste.
The Bottom Line: The college kids buy Miller High Life, because it's cheap. They might want to try Busch instead as it's better and only a little more expensive.

Thinking of Miller High Life brings back memories of high school and college. This was back when the drinking age was 18, Miller High Life was one of the top picks for the younger setmainly due to the low price.
Miller (in various forms) is still a popular college beer. When the grocery runs a special, I hear the word pass fast. A 12-pack under $6 moves off the shelves fast.
Now, as to the taste, I must say that I think Miller is one of the worst tasting beers Ive ever guzzled. Its a wonder young people get a taste for beer period if theyre going with Miller High Life, because its hard to get down.
Before you even get the bottle to your mouth, you get this odd grainy smell. Now, I know that beer smells like beer, but Miller High Life is too grainy smelling with a hint of old yeast. It just doesnt smell fresh.
As for the taste, its weaker than the smellfortunately. The anemic looking brew lacks body but does make up for that with the aftertaste. If Im served Miller (and Im not one to be fussy), I do try to find a bathroom and brush my teeth as soon as possible. I suppose all beers leave a bit of taste behind, but it seems that Miller High Life starts out kind of light and then grows in your mouth as the night goes on. I think its like onions. If you are going to be kissing someone and drink Miller High Life, be sure the other person drinks the sameso the taste cancels out (hopefully).
One interesting thing about Miller High Life is that it has a good headnot that Im real keen on that. I think thats why they put that on tap. You get half a glass of foam for the price of a full glass. And, that foam is none too tasty.
I would say that if someone is looking for a cheap beer, then they might consider Busch over Miller. Busch has a fuller and cleaner overall taste, and it does not have that lingering and deadly aftertaste. The cost is only slighter higher, so thats a good alternative.
